Wheelstock: The grooviest 24-hour skate experience this side of 1969!
Strap on your skates, roll up your air mattress and pack your duct tape, it’s the first ever Wheelstock! Hosted by Chesapeake Roller Derby and MADE, it’s your opportunity to skate and play overnight with skaters from all over the Mid-Atlantic. With beginner and advanced workshops, ref clinics, rookie and advanced tourneys and more, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to skate on that world-famous grooved concrete. And come ready to shake your moneymaker at CRD’s own Funky Town Open Skate!

Saturday
2pm: Sign in!
2:30 till 10pm: More detailed schedule and clinic descriptions to come, but expect awesome events like:
- Group Warm-up and Stretching
- M.A.D.E. Skills Evals/Basic Clinic
- Advanced Skater Clinics
- Ref Clinics
- Scrimmages or Tourneys (Beginner/advanced)
10:00pm: Black lights, open skate, games and groovy music, man. Bring an air mattress, sleeping bag, earplugs and your teddy bear for an overnight stay! BYOB (only 21+ may drink alcohol; please skate responsibly).
Sunday
8:30am – 10:30am: Breakfast on your own
10:30am till 1:00pm: More clinics, skating and scrimmage!
11:30am: Rookie Tournament begins.
2pm: Cleanup and depart!
SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: Team MAINLAND is looking for Advanced/All-Star Skaters to challenge them in preparation for their upcoming game against Puerto Rico. Please be sure to signup upon arrival Saturday if you would like to test your skills against this All-Star ladies team. Team Mainland scrimmage will begin at approximately 10:30am Sunday.
Notes:
- We will play the M.A.D.E rule set.
- We’ll play co-ed derby (there may be opportunities for some all-girl or all-boy play, but expect to mix it up co-ed style! Don’t worry, if you haven’t played co-ed before, we promise you’ll love it.)
- Individual skaters can come or your whole team!
- All skaters welcome, beginner thru advanced.
- Skaters do not have to be M.A.D.E Certified, however, please include that information below if you have it!
- Expect scrimmages, workshops and fun!
- You must be 18+ to participate!
What we need from you:
- Each skater must fill in registration form (http://bit.ly/Wheelstock2012) Team leads – if you are registering other skaters, please make sure to include email information for each skater, or you must be responsible for sharing emailed information with them.
- Every skater must provide medical and insurance information (in registration form) and be prepared to sign a waiver to skate in our facility!
