Last year’s CCRE (my first) was amazing. The Wildwood Convention Center is an awesome venue to skate in – the floor is smooth polished concrete and unlike anything I have ever skated on before! From what I have heard, this year’s CCRE promises to be the best yet!
@ Ponboy Hurtis – I couldn’t have described it better than “derby disneyland!”
Excited to hear that this year, CCRE will have lots of really cool vendors (fingers crossed for Wicked Skatewear…hint hint B-Train!!!) – unfortunately, a lot of skaters start off with hand-me-down merch or generic stuff available from whomever, without getting to touch, feel, and try. I’m looking forward to decking myself out in everything derby head-to-toe!!!!!
CCRE was amazing last year. And Sgt Swagga can get down, I witnessed it first hand. Everyone should go. You’ll get in some great skating and make a ton of new friends.
CCRE is my favorite event of the year. Cant’ beat the Jersey Shore for a great location. And right on the boardwalk. It’s a great venue for games and the floor has good traction. And the A/C works!!! I have played 2 all star games, refereed and announced. All of which were awesome!
MADE is a progressive style of Roller Derby, based on the original standardized ruleset.
In a MADE game:
*There is no slow pack
*Pivots can break
*There is one whistle
*There are no "minors"
*There is one start line
*There are no excessive penalties
*Lead Jammer is whichever Jammer is in the lead.
*Lead Jammer must be on their feet and within bounds to call off a jam.
*Packed full of strategy
MADE derby has been played in this form for more than 7 years, and this site is dedicated to those athletes who train hard and play hard under its name.

We should have some kind of moment of silence for Coach Judy.
Yes, I would like to publish Tom’s article about her. I am going to ask for permission.
